RELAY FOR LIFE
I have made a team to join Brandon's Relay for Life on Friday June 20th. I donated $1059.00 in honor of my mother-in-law, Phyllis Keller. This money was raised from the dance recital, $1 from every ticket sold. We do have a goal of $1500.00 so if you would be willing to pledge our team that would be great! The team name is "Kiss Cancer Goodbye" and you can find us at www.cancer.ca

BALLET MASTER CLASSES
On Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th Steppin' Time hosted the National Ballet School open classes and auditions. The RWB was at the studio holding auditions and open classes on Sunday, November 4th! What a great experience for all who attended!
Thank you to professional dancer/teacher Nina Menon for coming to our studio and teaching master classes! Nina is currently choreographing the Nutcracker for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet!

Seussical The Musical
I am currently choreographing Mecca Productions, Seussical the Musical, set to hit the stage from November 15-17th! This is such a wonderful musical for children and adults, lots of singing and dancing! It will be held at the WMCA and I hope you'll come out to see it. There are many Steppin' Time Dancers involved!!

Mandy and myself graduated from the 3 year ADAPT
Teacher Training School in July 2005 and congratulations to Lois Hyndman for graduating this July 2007! It is very exciting that Steppin' Time
is now the only ADAPT certified dance studio in Brandon .
ADAPT is an acronym which stands for:
A ssociated D ance A rts
for P rofessional T eachers
ADAPT is
a certified dance syllabus which offers yearly examinations in the dance disciplines
of Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. The Syllabus system is taught by over one hundred Canadian
dance studios from coast to coast. ADAPT represents an elite group of dance teachers
who follow the ADAPT Syllabus and enter their students in the yearly examination
process. These dance teachers are leaders in quality dance training. They teach
the love of dance and movement not only to the elite student, but to the recreational
dancer as well.
Steppin' Time will now be offering exams in the Al Gilbert Dance Syllabus, The
Royal Academy of Dance and the Adapt Syllabus.
