Steppin' Time's professional and fully-accredited instructors wait to share their love of dance! Steppin' Time offers instruction in dance at affordable rates.

Owner and instructor Monique Roy-Keller, nominated for the 2005 Manitoba Business Woman of the Year Award, is a life-long resident of Brandon and dancer since she began to walk. In addition to operating Steppin' Time Dance Studio since 1992, Monique has generously shared her talents as a teacher and choreographer with more than a decade of Neelin High School musical productions, and many community musicals including Mecca Productions' Annie. She has inspired the young and the young-at-heart to get up and dance!  

Her love of the art, talent as a teacher, and caring nature have created the warm, knowledgeable, and professional environment within which students of Steppin' Time Dance Studio thrive. Challenging herself to continue to excel as a teacher and choreographer, Monique has attended dance workshops and training sessions around North America , bringing cutting-edge dance technique and fresh, new ideas to her students while building her extensive knowledge of the art form she loves. Monique completed an intensive three-year teacher training program in the ADAPT dance syllabus. Proudly, Steppin' Time Dance Studio is now certified to offer the ADAPT dance syllabus to their students, the only studio in Brandon to achieve such certification.

Joined by the members of her staff, including Tamara Hicks, Kristen Yuel, Erika Sprung and Mandy Enns, dance instruction at Steppin' Time creates a well-rounded, student-centered program in the study of the art of dance. The talented members of the faculty offer classes to new and returning students in Jazz, Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, (Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti), Pointe and Tap. With three bright and spacious studios, Steppin' Time offers dancers of all ages and abilities more than 6000 square feet to move and create with professional dance floors in Studio A and Studio B.

Unparalleled opportunity to prepare for performance is offered in a studio comparable in size to the W.M.C.A. stage!

Beginning with toddler classes, the instructional program incorporates coordination and basic dance in tap and movement, the abilities of all students are developed in a warm, professional and nurturing environment. As skills continue to develop, dancers can select their program of instruction in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. Steppin' Time is very proud to offer our very popular "Boys Only" classes in all of these forms of dance. For most dancers, the highlight of the year is the Steppin' Time dance recital each May where each and every dancer steps on stage at the WMCA to perform for their biggest fans - their family and friends.  

For those looking for an extra challenge, opportunity to prepare for dance exams with the Al Gilbert Syllabus and ADAPT Syllabus for Tap and Jazz and Royal Academy of Dance for Ballet is offered to all students. While exam preparation is educational and fun, it also offers students opportunities to develop the work ethic and sense of pride that comes with setting and achieving goals. In addition to success in dance examinations, under the guidance of committed and caring instructors, Steppin' Time dancers have showcased their skills in competitions and festivals outside Brandon , including Gold Honours Awards at the Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival. Steppin' Time dancers have also been selected to attend the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and National Ballet of Toronto professional summer school.
